The 8200 Unit is the main information gathering unit for Military Intelligence. Soldiers in the unit are in charge of developing and utilizing information gathering tools to analyze and process relevant data, sometimes joining combat field headquarters in order to enable a faster flow of information.
Although women typically sign-up for a 2 year service, Gil has signed up for 6 years in the IDF because “I really love my country … we need to defend ourselves and contribute to our country”.
