Haim Saban is a pioneer and leader in the entertainment industry. Mr. Saban formed Saban Entertainment in 1988, a global television, production, distribution, and merchandising company. Saban Entertainment introduced to the U.S. the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. In 1995, Saban Entertainment merged with Fox Kids Network and acquired Fox Family Channel in 1997, a cable network reaching 81 million homes. The partnership, renamed Fox Family Worldwide, was sold to The Walt Disney Company in October 2001. Mr. Saban spearheaded the deal, notable as the largest cash transaction conducted by a single individual in Hollywood.
