Emil Pitkin
Emil is the grandson of the Soviet writer. Emil has carefully translated the Samizdat writings and brings to us an engaging story of how a brilliant scientist was systematically marginalized and yet retained his dignity and rose despite the suppression.

Emil is an engaging and animated speaker and story teller.
Emil Pitkin is an entrepreneur, educator, and investor.
He founded, led, and sold GovPredict, a technology company in the government relations sector in a deal funded by Frontier Growth. Emil and currently serves as CEO of Superstorm, an AI automation company that he co-founded in 2023.
Emil is a Professor at the Wharton School in statistics and data science and has taught over 2,000 MBA students. Before the age of 30, he was the laureate of the award for Wharton’s top instructor.
Emil has invested in dozens of private companies, advising founders on all elements of business strategy.
Emil has served on numerous boards and nonprofits, including Pro-Israel America and the Government Relations Association.
Emil graduated from Harvard College with a BA in mathematics and from the Wharton School with a PhD in statistics.
Jewish 'Relocation'
Jews left Russia in several major historical waves, starting primarily in 1881 and continuing through the late 20th century and modern day due to state persecution, pogroms, and the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Major Migration Waves

1881–1914 (The Tsarist Exodus): Over 2 million Jews fled the Russian Empire to escape violent anti-Jewish riots (pogroms) and harsh restrictive laws like the May Laws enacted under Tsar Alexander III. Most went to the United States, Argentina, and Palestine.

1970s–1980s (Soviet Dissident Wave): Around 291,000 Jews left the Soviet Union following shifting geopolitical pressures, international protests, and a limited right to emigrate, mostly heading to Israel and the United States.

1990s (Post-Soviet Migration): Following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, hundreds of thousands of Jews left Russia and former Soviet states due to economic instability and social changes, relocating primarily to Israel and Germany.

2022–Present (Recent Emigration): Following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine and mounting domestic political repression, thousands more Jewish residents have left modern Russia
